Interview: Remembering Guru (July 1961 - April 2010)

On the morning of the 20th April 2010 Code Emphasis received the unfortunate news that GURU the Boston born MC and one half of the legendary HipHop group Gangstarr and of Jazzmatazz fame had died.

In 2009 Code Emphasis had the pleasure of interviewing Guru and Solar (owner and producer of 7 Grand records) In their last tour of the UK. This interview was released on our blog the moment we heard the news, as we felt it was only right to share this interview with his family, friends and fans as a tribute to Keith Elam aka Guru, above the clouds.

Here it is again for our debut release in dedication to the mono-tone Hip Hop legend, Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal.
