Speakers Corner - New Band Order

So if you're anything like me, you've probably never heard of Speakers Corner Quartet.  If you have, you're probably nothing like me, and weren't promptly amazed when you heard them performing at the Tate Britain.

I was amazed by what they did as it's highly unusual in the current musical climate. However what I found more amazing was the seemingly endless support they've garnered from (quite frankly) people of all walks and (I assume) persuasions.

This became less surprising given the groups very diverse backgrounds. Four people united by their love of musical expression, Sun-Ra, truth and the freedom it not only offers, but supports.

To put it plainly, they're (depending on your stance) either freedom fighters, rebels with a cause or straight crazy.  I think they're a healthy mix of the three. They're soap-box energy is infectious and they're 'soap-box' views (even when delivered with what seems like anger or frustration) seem to be born out of a heart for humanity as they should be. 

I'll just say this, speaking with them was enlightening, fun and ultimately made me hopeful for both music and the world at large.
